Canadian automotive supplier Magna International Inc. on Oct. 28 opened a new injection molding and robotic paint line facility in Delta Township, Mich., the company has announced.

The 290,000-square-foot facility in suburban Lansing, Mich., called DexSys, will manufacture front and rear fascias for General Motors Co., employing 340 at peak capacity.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation has also announced that Magna subsidiary Autosystems America Inc., dba Magna Lighting, will establish a new manufacturing facility and consolidate engineering, R&D, sales and marketing and a new headquarters into one location in the Detroit suburb of Plymouth Township, to handle newly acquired business. The expansion represents an investment of up to $59.2 million and a potential 466 new jobs, according to a news release.
